Survey: What Would You Like To Know More About?

I thought I’d take things in a different direction today. Instead of writing about what I think is useful – I thought I’d take a different approach and put out a survey and ask what you would like to see written. After all I write this blog to help others and if I’m off my mark then I’d like to know. But more importantly I’d like to know what interests you the most and what you’d like to see more about.

I’ve never polled my readers before and lets be honest I’m not highly prolific blogger and I don’t get ten’s of thousands of hits per day like some other bloggers out there. What I have always done is try to put out useful and valuable content that people can actually benefit from. Sure I learn what posts are popular and I find out what my clients are trying to achieve through my work with them, but nothing beats directly asking a wider audience what they actually want. That’s can be an entire How-To blog post in itself!

Most blogs out there write about topics that only interest them or what they think their audience wants to read about. Many get it right and put stuff out there that they really care about and others really get value from too. But its still rare to see to see business owners (bloggers included) actually asking what their audience wants. The goal here is to find out more about you, your needs, and what you like.

I registered this domain in April of 2010 and launched the blog a few weeks later so that puts me at about the 4 month mark. I’ve steadily grown my numbers of visitors with posts like How To Use Forums To Attract Business (still my most popular post) and The Unconventional Guide To Freelancing Review. August has been a month where I’ve litterally doubled my visitor count so I must be doing something right. That being said all my posts have been lightbulbs from my own brain, so now I’d like to turn it around to you, the reader.  So my question to you is this - What would you like to know more about?

Is it more about how to attract more business, more reviews, or perhaps a greater emphasis about online business and marketing? Perhaps you’d like to see more on traffic generation, or search optimization or how to market your business through social media? There’s an infinite amount of directions this blog could take – but at the end of the day, its about what interests you the most. I’ve come up with a list in the survey below – if there’s something else you’d like to see, mention it in the box at the bottom of the survey
