Chris Guillebeau Empire Building Kit Review
As mentioned in the last post, Chris Guillebeau releases his Empire Building Kit for the third and final time this coming Wednesday June 16th, starting at 9am PST (12PM EST).
Thus begins my long awaited reviews series about building an online business with the help of the very successful Chris Guillebeau and his Empire Building Kit. The Skinny
“Building a meaningful business by doing one thing every day year”. What does this mean exactly? We’ve all heard of the “make money online” sites and snake oil those internet marketers have been trying to sell us for years. But what’s the Empire Building Kit all and about and why should you care? Starting a business is tough. So is starting an online business.
What does Chris Guillebeau do? He helps you navigate the tough waters. Starting a business, let alone an online business, has got to be one of the most daunting and perplexing worlds to delve into, especially if your not very tech-savvy and haven’t done much with business before. The beauty of it: You don’t have to be tech savvy. You don’t have to be a seasoned businessperson or entrepreneur. You just have to be passionate about something, and want to create an action plan to make it something bigger.
The Empire Building Kit doesn’t give you ideas for a business, but it will arm you with the knowledge to get out there and do whatever it is you want to do. Whether its an online business selling LOLcat photographs or you have a dream of being like the guy who makes $105,000 a year walking dogs (described in one case study), this is the way to learn and get inspired.
How To Participate
Once aboard, join the email list and you’ll get step-by-step notes that refer to everything covered in the program at some point. Alternatively, you can review the materials at your own pace and in pursuit of the specific emperor-building knowledge you need.
What You Get
- A whole load of Video interviews with successful entrepreneurs and regular people who’ve built successful businesses (plus transcripts). I loved this.
- PDF Case studies. This is great, read at your own pace and learn from dozens of real people with real businesses, and he goes into explicit detail with every one.
- A 43 Step Checklist on How to Launch a Product. This is exciting stuff, and is difficult to obtain anywhere.
- Webinar recording and transcript – great insight and information for those who didn’t attend back in May.
- Daily emails for 365 days. Tips, advice, guidance, inspiration. Every day, in your inbox. Invaluable.
The Downside? I didn’t find many shortcomings, in fact, my only complaints were I wanted more of what I was already getting – which shows the overall impact it had. It would also have been nice to a have a community for the Emperors to communicate and share ideas. While the Teleclasses and Webinars that were held were awesome, it would have been nice to see more of that too, but I’m just nitpicking now.
Bonus! Theres a new surprise expected for those that purchase tomorrow – its a report called “Backyard Biz Profits”, a 60+ pager all about combining online marketing with local businesses. It’s a great report from what I hear; Chris just never got around to doing anything with it until now. And he’s throwing it in with the Empire Building Kit as special treat. It will be be sold later for at least $50, but it’s free tomorrow to everyone who picks up the EBK on the first day.
The Damage
The pricing tiers are in accordance to what you need. The Emperor-in-Training – $150, the Hail Ceasar runs at $249, Alexander the Great runs at $449. The most popular one is the Hail Ceasar. As you go up in price, the kit offers more. Very reasonable and IMHO very worth the money. And I’m not just saying that as an affiliate. This blog, and several of my other businesses that I’ve launched recently are a direct result of what I learned about online business in the Empire Building Kit.
Bottom Line
Buy It, You will not Regret It. You’ll be soon on your way to learning and creating what you’ve always wanted.
